Latrines to be Re-Built

Introduction: Thanks to the recent fundraising from the BP team, we have enough money to fully re-build the latrines.

Thanks to the recent fundraising from the BP team, we have enough money to fully re-build the latrines. The latrines, a very basic timber building over an open pit, are an essential back up to the rudimentary toilets at the school, especially when there is no fresh or ground water available to flush the toilets. They had fallen into such a bad state of repair that 4 children fell into the pit last year! It was clear from our February visit that this was a real priority to get re-build and make safe.

The money raised by the BP team has enabled us to send enough money in the April grant to the school to pay for the full re-building and we look forward to them being back and available for use soon.
