Jeanne, known to many in Swanland after spending a year with a family here and attending St B's, has started teaching at the school in Nairobi until April 2014.

She has a real passion for the children and they have taken her to their hearts. She is teaching in Class 4 alongside the experienced Teacher Alfred and is soon to add French to their syllabus!

Jeanne is also covering for the part time role of Matron (maternity leave) and her first aid skills have already proved invaluable. Cases so far have included head injuries, malaria, typhoid and rabies!

It was wonderful to see her in action teaching just last month during our visit. Whilst in Nairobi she is staying with former St B’s Youth Worker Hellen Sewe! Small world!!
